Today was doctor day for our annual check ups.

Here are the Stats:

{daddy day}

This was my view as I was leaving for work this morning. Daddy was on duty for Daddy Day.  I know these days can be long and challengin for B, but I love knowing they are with him over anyone else while I go to work. 

{new school}

Tonight was meet the teacher night at our new school.  I could not have gone without Mimi's help, THANK YOU MIMI!

It was a mad house, huge in comparison to our old school and a culture shock to say the least.

The boys loved playing on their new playground espeically this bike thing.

When I put the boys to bed tonight I asked C what he thought of his new school and he said "fun!" That made me feel better about this next big change in their lives. 

{potty training}

I think this picture says it all. 

We started focusing on C using the potty this month and D is already showing interest.  We have spent alot of time in the bathroom and talking about pee pee and poo poo.

{go go go}

Today we loaded up and headed to Dallas for out last day of school.  We have talking alot about going to a new school soon so we face that challange next week.

As for today, the boys hugged Miss Cyndy, Mrs. Natalie, Mrs. Stephanie and Mrs. Amanda good bye while I cried. I cried because I trusted them with the boys and the boys had so much fun there. We will miss Lakeside, and I pray our new school is just as awesome. 

{where's DaDa}

Daddy helps alot with naptime now that we are adjusting to big boy beds. Nap time is still a challange, but it is getting better. We go through this dialogue almost everyday when they wake up:

C: Where's Daddy?

D:  Dada is?

Me: Where do you think he is?

C: working on the trains

D:  fix trains

{I want to paint}

C is always asking to paint and D won't say no if the paint is out. They love coloring, painting, finger painting, play dough....anything that gets messy!

{working}

C and D love to help Daddy work on 4wheelers. They help scatter the tools he's looking for, hide the parts and tell him what needs fixed next.  I know Daddy loves ALL their help.

{bath time}

These boys never stop, not even to take a bath unless we trick them with fun. They love to play in the new big bath tub with all their water toys.

{where's Cooper and Dillon}

We spent the afternoon at the park today.  We have checked out a couple other parks since we found this one, but this is their favorite so far. They can play on the spaceship then run over and cool off on the spray pad. Today they made friends with a girl who had water balloons, they had so much fun. 

{giggles}

I love it when I am in the other room and here them laying, talking, giggling and screaming with joy. Today I cam around the corner to them racing cars and loving the boom as they hit the wall. I have a feeling I am going to be touching up the paint around her often..lol.

{my monkeys}

We are so thankful for this 'cold front' giving us a break from 100+ temps. We spent the afternoon playing outside with waterguns, frizbees, balls, sidewalk chalk, swings and slides. We love our new backyard, we have a lot of space and we get a nice breeze in the afternoon which makes it nice to relax out there.

Happy Big Boy 3 Cooper!

 C had birthday pancakes to get his big day started becuase these are his favorite right now.

 He was so excited for himself!!

 He got a balance bike so he can start working on riding a big boy bike, he thinks it is super cool especially since Daddy put lots of racing stickers on it. He calls it his motorcross bike and pretends to rev the handles.

 He got cake balls becuase we found out a recent birthday party he can eat like 50 of these in 5 seconds.

We had a relaxing birthday, riding bikes, playing outside and Mimi, Papa, and Rara came for dinner.

Happy Birthday Cooper, 3 years ago today you changed our lives forever.

{super dada}

This morning we were out riding bikes and some how Brandon ended up the one riding the bike with 70+ lbs in tow. There are a bazillion reasons the boys call B "Super Dada," this is just one reason.

Daddy got us a surprise today.

The boys were so excited even though the fish kept hidding, we just hope they survive....



{dance?}

The boys love to dance to a certain scene in the movie Cars 2. Sometimes Daddy turns the movie on and fast forwards to the right spot so they can shake it, other times they stop whatever they are doing when they hear the song and shake it. Even in the car if it comes on they shake it in their car seats.....nothing can keep them from shaking it. 

{red light-green light}

We love going around the block playing red light-green light.

they race, they crash, they push, they run off to chase the rabbits

D is trying to figure out the pedals, big brother has them all figured out, but his new tractor sure is heavy so today he got tired {super}fast. 

{nite-nite}

On Tuesday's I leave early for work and get home just after bedtime. Since I forgot to take a picture this morning while we were awake I get to post another sleeping picture. It looks like tonight C joined D in his bed. I honeslty love watching them sleep. I always go in their room as soon as I get home even if they are still awake to see them and kiss them goodnite. If they are already asleep I do the same. Then before I go to bed everynite I go in to put their blankets on them. I love talking to them while they sleep and pray over them. This is a special time for me becuase it is so quiet and peaceful.



{DaDas Train}

When the boys and I were on our way home from a play date with Sadie today we decided to make a surprise stop to see Dada at work. They were so excited to see DaDa's trains. They got to climb up into them, drive them and honk the horns. Whenever we see a DART train they yell "dada's train" so to get to see one up close was SO COOL!!

{new toys}

After such an exciting day yesterday we just relaxed at home today. The boys were entertained by all their new toys. They raced their remote control cars, drove their new tractors around, learned how to use their new tablets, flew their helicopter, played doctor with their new doctor kit.....

{Birthday Bash}

Cooper was speechless when he saw the cake, put two of his favorite things together, cake and trains, see what you get!

 They were so excited it was finally the choo choo party!

{waa hoo!}

"Super Dada" found a spray park today!  He was taking the boys to the park and found this too. We are so excited because this is within walking distance from our house and there is a huge play ground right next to this. We have been so busy getting settled we have not ventured out much to check out what is close to us, but now that we know this is here we will be back often aka tomorrow.

{"eat eat"}

Breakfast is our dinner.

Breakfast is when we all get to eat together. Usually I get up with the boys and let Dad sleep a little longer. The boys play while I get breakfast on the table and most mornings Daddy makes his way down to eat with us. Some mornings Daddy sleeps through breakfast and that is okay, he works hard for us so we stay quiet for him.

C is still not a big breakfast eater, while D's best meal is breakfast.

C prefers pancakes, D prefers waffles.

B prefers Diet Coke, A prefers COFFEE!!!



{transitions}

I randomly had an early night with clients today so I came home before the boys were in bed. Some would say I should have found something to do especially since we are still in the big transition to big boy beds which is making naptime and bedtime not so fun.  For Mommie and Daddy that is.

So Mrs. Mellie headed home and I took my spot....right outside their bedroom. I am typing this at 9:11pm to be exact and I put the boys down at 8pm.  I have lost count how many times they have opened the door for me to tell them to go back to bed. Right now they seem to be laying by the door looking at me under the door giggling. D must be ontop of C, becuase he is telling him to "get off it hurts."

Hold please......going to put them back in their beds......

{school time}

C and D have so much fun at school. They play on the playground, have music time, paint, color and glue things, play with their friends and so much more. Now that we moved we are still driving to our same school by the old house on Monday's so they can go to school and Mommie can get some work done at Rara's house. C and D's rooms face eachother so they see eachother throughout the day but they have their own classes. We will all be sad when August is over and we won't be going back to this school. We are not sure where we are going in the Fall, I have the boys on 3 waiting lists so I am praying we get a spot soon. The boys have learned so much there and Mommie and Daddie both like and need the time when they are at school. 

{cup cake?}

Not only do we celebrate two birthdays in August so do two of our really good friends. Today we went to Lyla's Ladybug Birthday Party to help celebrate her turning 3. C found his way to sit next to the birthday girl to savor every bite of his cupcake and ice cream. C LOVES cupcakes, D...not so much, he just kinda licks the icing and then finds something better to do. We found out later that C had been raiding the cakeballs so we have no clue how many he ate.

This is how I found the boys when I went in to cover them up. You can't see D's head, he has Monkey over his face.

Since we moved I usually put the boys to bed then go in my office and work while they settle down since those rooms share a wall. I love hearing them talk to one another. Latley, I have had to go in there every night to put C back in his crib because he was climbing out and then climbing into D's crib to play. Now that we have our big boy beds this was no surprise and so adorable.

As I took this picture it made me think about how being a mother is not about me. Every moment is about them.  As a mother I can not control every moment and make everything the way I want it becuase ultimately every moment it about the needs and happiness of C and D. 

{Baby D is 2!}

 Baby D, excuse me, Big Boy D, woke up to ballons all around the house for his birthday. Him and brother laughed and played while I made special birthday pancakes for him.

 Cooper and I worked hard to make his day special all day, eating his favorite foods(bananas), playing his favorite toys(trains), reading his favorite book(search and find) and watching his favorite cartoon(Dora).

 When Daddy got home we all sang him Happy Birthday and he got to blow his candle out (after C blew it out twice and we re-lit it 3 times)

We think he wished to go to Chic-Fil-A and play so that's exactly what we did!

Happy Birthday Baby D, I am not sure if can change my name for you yet. You are my baby, but you are so big and smart. Your smile, your curls and even your screams make everyday joyful and fun. I cannot image life without you.

Tonight we said good bye to the cribs. Tomorrow we are giving the cribs to the other babies that need them and we are getting Big Boy Beds. We have been talking about this alot lately and they seem excited. I had the bedding out the other day so I could wash it and C came in the room and said "ahh, I love it!"
